We Believe in Sustainable Future
“What can
we do to protect our world?”
At Label
Up, we knew at the beginning of our journey starting with this question that we
are responsible for the world, nature and natural resources. That is
exactly why we want to show our respect for nature in our sector in a more
concrete way and share it with you.
We at Label
Up are aware of our responsibility to the world and care very much about the
production of recycled labels. For this reason, we are a brand with
international certificates such as Forest Stewardship Council, Oeko-Tex, Global
Recycled Standard and Sedex.
Our Certificates
FSC: Forest Stewardship Council
Forest
Stewardship Council, a non-profit organization, aims to manage the proper use
of forest products around the world and the supervision of companies in this
regard.
The main
purpose of the organization, founded in Germany in 1993, is to supervise and
audit companies to ensure that they are abiding by certain standards in using
forest products in order to restore the loss resulting from the destruction of
the world’s forests for certain reasons.
The purpose
of the Forest Stewardship Council certificate is to ensure that forest products
are produced in a way that does not damage forests ecologically, does not
disrupt the ecosystem and society balance in general. Companies with a Forest
Stewardship Council certificate produce by carefully adhering to these substances.
OEKO-TEX
The
OEKO-TEX Standard is a worldwide standardized testing and certification system
for raw materials and textile products, used to classify harmful substances in
textile products.
OEKO-TEX
product label is given to textile products tested against harmful substances
and environmentally-friendly textile products manufactured with the awareness
of social responsibility, in addition to harmful substances testing. Products that
have OEKO-TEX label have been tested and found to be ecologically harmless in
addition to being harmless to human health and ecology.
These labels provide
consumers transparent information about sustainable and responsible production.
GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD
The Global
Recycled Standard, abbreviated GRS, is an international, voluntary, finished-product
standard designed to meet the needs of companies seeking to validate recycled
content and responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in
production.
GRS requires
using at least 20% recycled materials in products, and its aim is to increase
the use of recycled materials in products and to certify all production stages
by reducing damages.
SEDEX
SEDEX is an
audit system and trading community that aims to organize supply chains in
ethical trading and is designed to help supply chains improve their
performance.
There are
certain criteria that companies must comply with to obtain SEDEX certificate. Members
of the SEDEX system can connect to a common database, participate in studies
and contact other members. Everything in the system is carried out with
transparency. Analysis reports of companies that are in the ethical social
compliance review are also open to other member companies, and thus supply
rings are created.
